NAMR Marketing Strategy Senior Manager

Boston Consulting GroupWashington, DC
28d$120,000 - $154,000Hybrid

About The Position

As an integral member of the NAMR Marketing team, the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy will be deployed against strategic marketing initiatives that align with commercial priorities across the region. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and problem-solver—helping diagnose needs, define go-to-market strategies, and deliver programs that accelerate business outcomes. We are looking for a candidate with strong problem-solving skills, ability to use insights to drive to impact, and interest in driving strategic projects forward. The role is dynamic and varied: you may be embedded in a Specialty Business Unit (SBU), a Practice Area, or deployed against acute commercial opportunities that require targeted marketing solutions. At times, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing the strategy; at other times, you’ll shape the plan and partner with others across BCG to bring it to life. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong collaboration, agility, and a proactive mindset. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and a team of high-performing marketing generalists to design and deliver programs that resonate with well-defined audiences and drive measurable impact.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, consulting, business transformation, or similar roles
  • A strong track record of developing strategic marketing plans in complex, global environments
  • Experience working across multiple marketing disciplines, including content, digital, brand, and events
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive execution
  • Excellent analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and pivoting quickly based on business needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Connecting dots across teams, markets, and data sources to find opportunities and confluence
  • Collaborating cross-functionally and influencing without authority in a matrixed environment
  • Interfacing with senior leaders to clarify priorities, provide strategic recommendations, and build trust
  • Diagnosing needs and designing go-to-market strategies that are fit-for-purpose and audience-focused
  • Driving pilot programs and strategic initiatives with a bias toward learning, iteration, and impact
  • Setting direction, removing roadblocks, and modeling client-first execution
  • Communicating clearly and persuasively—in writing and in person—especially in high-stakes or fast-moving situations
  • Juggling multiple projects in an agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into clear marketing programs
  • Diagnose business needs and recommend marketing strategies—sometimes leading execution directly, and other times partnering with others to implement
  • Drive key initiatives such as strategic pilots, audience-focused campaigns, and go-to-market efforts for growth areas
  • Collaborate across different parts of the organization (e.g. Practice Areas, SBUs, and Business Services) to ensure alignment, leverage best practices, and connect dots across efforts
  • Support decision-making through compelling internal storytelling, strategic framing, and well-structured plans
  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders to define target audiences and shape tailored content and activations that meet their needs

Benefits

  • Zero dollar ($0) health insurance premiums for BCG employees, spouses, and children
  • Low $10 (USD) copays for trips to the doctor, urgent care visits and prescriptions for generic drugs
  • Dental coverage, including up to $5,000 in orthodontia benefits
  • Vision insurance with coverage for both glasses and contact lenses annually
  • Reimbursement for gym memberships and other fitness activities
  • Fully vested retirement contributions made annually, whether you contribute or not, plus the option for employees to make personal contributions to a 401(k) plan
  • Paid Parental Leave and other family benefits such as elective egg freezing, surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement
  • Generous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month)
  • Paid sick time on an as needed basis
