Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for NA Outbound Transportation Co-Op to be in Raritan, NJ. The typical Co-op term is from June, 2026 to January, 2027. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: The North America Outbound Transportation Operations is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Co‑Op to support initiatives that enhance transportation execution and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. This role offers hands‑on experience in logistics operations, data analysis, and performance reporting, with exposure to cross‑functional partners and external logistics providers. Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with data visualization and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Alteryx is required.
  • Strong, confident communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Ability to self-manage in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to deliver clear, confident presentations to senior leaders and external partners.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundational understanding of financial principles, cost analysis, and transportation operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with carrier tracking systems and supply chain performance metrics (OTD, OTIF) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performance Monitoring & Data Analysis Track and report On‑Time Delivery (OTD) and On‑Time‑In‑Full (OTIF) performance using internal systems and carrier portals.
  • Analyze carrier performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause investigations on delivery execution issues.
  • Transportation Operations Monitor daily shipments and coordinate with third‑party logistics providers to investigate Delivery Service Incidents (DSIs) and ensure timely resolution.
  • Track cold‑chain shipments proactively, ensuring the integrity of temperature‑sensitive products.
  • Investigate shipment non‑compliance and file incident reports following operational standards.
  • Support lost‑shipment investigations and prepare documentation for J&J Global Brand Protection.
  • Assist with returns processing and ensure compliance with all quality requirements.
  • Reporting & Collaboration Generate shipment performance reports across parcel, truckload, and LTL networks.
  • Identify and communicate risks related to transportation spend, delivery execution, and shipment tracking.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Quality, Transportation Analysts, and external logistics partners to meet operational goals.
