ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Organize and physically prepare testing of customer water samples. Collaborate with Chemists, R & D Managers and other R & D team members in the water laboratory preparing samples of water for conducting tests. Effectively enter test results in the database to be used by Chemists. Maintain laboratory data bases. Create and develop new products by conducting experiments and recording the experimental data then preparing reports for project updates. Perform all physical/chemical preparation and testing of water submitted to the lab. Utilize a variety of analytical instrumentation including infrared spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence. Conduct research on projects as assigned by R & D Manager. Evaluate novel raw materials to develop new product formulations. Conduct laboratory evaluations of new products in conjunction with R & D team members. Administer miscellaneous technical service customer support tasks as directed. Maintain laboratory space in safe operating order. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.. MINUMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Pursuant of Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university/college with a co-op program Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Minimum first year chemistry lab skills required. Basic understanding of operation of equipment within the laboratory. Requirements
