About The Position

Mutuels / Sportsbook Cashier – WarHorse Gaming SUMMARY DESCRIPTION The Mutuels/Sportsbook Cashier is responsible for accurately processing wagers, issuing tickets, and handling payments while delivering a high-energy, guest-focused experience. This role plays a key part in creating an exciting and welcoming environment during live racing and sportsbook operations.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Strong math skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License

Nice To Haves

Previous sportsbook, mutuels, or teller experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of guest service and cash handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately write, verify, and process payouts for sports and horse racing wagers
Follow all procedures related to ticket sales and payouts in compliance with gaming regulations
Explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests in a clear and friendly manner
Maintain and balance an assigned cash bank throughout the shift
Ensure accuracy in all cash, card, and ticket transactions
Provide exceptional guest service while addressing questions, concerns, or issues
Maintain knowledge of current sports, racing events, and property offerings
Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Adhere to all company safety standards and operational procedures
Stay informed on industry trends and department updates
Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Perform additional duties as assigned
