About The Position

The purpose of the Mutuel Teller is to sell, cash, redeem and verify all ticket and voucher sales with relation to pari-mutuel wagering.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have cash handling (2+ years) and basic math skills
• Must be able to learn TOTE Machine functions
• Must be willing to learn pari-mutuel wagering and horse racing
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including night, weekends and holidays
• Ability to handle frequent sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting
• Must be able to work flexible shifts in a crowded noisy environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous teller experience preferred
• Previous racing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service to all internal and external guests
• Monitor audio-visual signals and take necessary action to ensure that standards and guest needs are met
• Verify scheduled tracks are available for viewing and wagering
• Maintain cleanliness of the Mutuel Line and Wagering Area
• Change televisions and channels on simulcast wall
• Change paper in machines
• Explain wagering techniques to guests
• Adhere to all corporate and local policies, procedures and operating guidelines
• Demonstrate abilities to meet performance expectations with communication, initiative, problem solving, customer service/interpersonal relations, work habits, conduct and responsible gaming/business ethics
