About The Position

The Multimedia Specialist designs content for media platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. The position promotes a favorable and consistent image of the department and the university for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five years

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in editing and providing content for newsletter and magazine articles, guest columns, op-eds, scripts, advertising, websites, social media, and news releases
  • Knowledge in AP writing style
  • Experience in editing and writing content
  • Knowledge of Adobe, project management software, and knowledge of social media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respond constructively to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Manages university and clinic social media by developing/suggesting weekly content for posts
  • Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President creates editorial and visual content for Texas Tech Health El Paso, TTP El Paso and Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic social media channels
  • Assist in developing, writing, and scheduling engaging social media content for multiple platforms
  • Support photography and videography needs for events, student life, clinical practices and faculty highlights
  • Keeps track of events, news and happenings across campus
  • Assists with generating analytics reports every month for all accounts
  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)
  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP's values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support team goals, communicate effectively, and incorporate feedback into daily work
