This role helps support the OIR Classroom Support team in the resolution of incident tickets, locating problems through classroom checks and remote equipment monitoring tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
  • Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AV over IP, cable management, and Crestron equipment such as NVX.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Canvas.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure (VLAN, DHCP).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Team leadership qualities.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to perform in an immediate response environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair audio-visual issues, ensure prompt update and closure of tickets meeting service level targets, assist with classroom checks, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Work directly with and oversee technicians including training, troubleshooting/repair and assigning work.
  • Supervise student workers as needed which may require time tracking and verifying time sheets.
  • Perform individualized faculty training sessions and attend/assist large scale training sessions.
  • Create and enhance knowledge base media and troubleshooting/repair guides.
  • Test newly released classroom AV equipment.
  • Collaborate with faculty and end users to provide solutions and techniques regarding atypical and unique ways of using existing classroom audio-visual equipment.
  • Perform post-installation inspection, train end users on new equipment, and obtain project sign-off indicating customer satisfaction.
  • Assist OIR Engineering sub-team with equipment installation as needed.
  • May be assigned supervisory roles over student workers.
