About The Position

Join the CrowdGen team as an Independent Contractor for a Multimedia Humor Annotation Specialist project. Most AI systems totally miss humor. They can repeat what happened in a video, but they don’t really get what makes it funny — the twist, the timing, the attitude, the cultural reference, or who it’s actually funny for. That’s where you come in We’re looking for teens aged 15–19 — especially those who are quick to catch memes, pop‑culture jokes, and other cultural references — to help us break this “literal robot” problem and teach AI how real humor works. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll watch short videos and annotate the humor in them. Your job isn’t to explain the video — it’s to explain the humor. Your annotations help us understand not just if something is funny, but why, how, and for whom. ✅ Say if the clip is actually a humor ✅ Explain the funny part (not just retell the video) ✅ Pick the type of humor and tone ✅ Say who it’s funny for (kids, teens, adults, etc.) ✅ Mark clips that aren’t really humor or break the rules Your clear, thoughtful answers help teach AI how real humor works. Why Join? ✅ You get to shape how future AI understands memes, and humor. ✅ Your perspective as a teen is exactly what we need — adults (and AI) don’t always get your humor. ✅ It’s a chance to practice clear thinking, explanation skills, and critical judgment… while working with funny content.. This role is a project-based opportunity with CrowdGen, where you will join the CrowdGen Community as an Independent Contractor. If selected, you will receive an email from CrowdGen regarding the creation of an account using your application email address. You will need to log in to this account, reset the password, complete the setup requirements, and proceed with your application for this project-based role. If you’re excited to contribute to AI development and want to help teach machines what’s funny, we’d love to hear from you! #crowdgen
