ConocoPhillips holds approximately 792,000 unconventional net acres in the Delaware Basin, spanning west Texas through southeast New Mexico. Current development activity targets prospects in the Avalon, Bone Springs and Wolfcamp formations while balancing leasehold obligations and permit terms. We operated ten rigs and two frac crews on average during 2024, resulting in 166 operated wells drilled and 151 operated wells brought online. The company began exploring and appraising the basin’s stacked pay potential in 2012 and has gained extensive technical expertise to optimize development. At the beginning of 2024, the company operated over 2,800 producing wells throughout the Basin. In 2024, net production averaged 593 MBOED. At ConocoPhillips, our Lease Operators—known internally as Multi-Skill Operators (MSOs)—play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable oil and gas production across our assets. This field-based position offers the opportunity to work independently in dynamic outdoor environments, using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to make a real impact. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Oil and gas experience is a plus but not required—strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are equally valued. Whether you're transitioning from another industry or building on prior field experience, we provide the training and support to help you succeed and grow your career. As a frontline contributor to our operational excellence and safety culture, you’ll be empowered to make decisions, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure production targets are met—all while driving innovation and continuous improvement in the field.
