Multi-Site EHS Manager II
About The Position
This role is for a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager at Amazon, aiming to make it Earth's safest place to work. The WHS Manager will be the site's safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation. This position combines hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect associates and drive operational excellence. The role bridges the gap between safety requirements and operational success, requiring both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Working closely with Operations leadership, the manager will drive safety initiatives that make a real difference. The manager will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. The ability to build relationships and influence positive change will be essential in shaping the safety culture. The role also involves leading safety compliance efforts, conducting thorough site audits, and analyzing incident trends to target improvements. Managing the first aid program and emergency response capabilities ensures immediate care is always available. Analytical skills will transform safety data into actionable insights, and leadership abilities will help engage associates in the safety mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Must obtain an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 3 weeks of start date if not already possessed.
Nice To Haves
- Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
- Certified Safety Professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely.

- Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs.
