About The Position

This role is for a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to join the mission of creating the world's safest work environment, directly impacting associate wellbeing and driving operational excellence. As a WHS Manager, you will be the site's safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation. The role combines hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect Amazon's people, bridging the gap between safety requirements and operational success. It requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, working closely with Operations leadership to drive safety initiatives. You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. Building relationships and influencing positive change are essential to shaping the safety culture. You will lead safety compliance efforts, conduct thorough site audits, analyze incident trends, manage the first aid program, and emergency response capabilities. Analytical skills will transform safety data into actionable insights, and leadership abilities will engage associates in the safety mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Must obtain an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 3 weeks of start date if not already possessed.

Nice To Haves

• Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
• Certified Safety Professional.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics.
• Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely.

• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor who balances safety excellence with operational demands.
• Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs.
