About The Position

The Multimedia Photo & Video Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to support visual content strategies and execute photography and video productions. This role operates professional-grade equipment and is responsible for editing and retouching photographs, as well as producing engaging video content from capture through final edit. The Multimedia Specialist stays current on industry trends, maintains a well-organized library of multimedia assets, adheres to project timelines, and ensures Kreg’s studio and prep areas are properly maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, film production, multimedia Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-4 years’ work experience as a multimedia specialist, Photographer, Videographer, or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in product and lifestyle photography, videography.
  • Proficient in photography and video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro).
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Excellent video editing and post-production skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and seamless visual experiences.
  • Proficiency in retouching and editing photographs, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing final images.
  • Knowledge of current photography and videography trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours as projects require.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing, product, sales, and creative teams to develop visual content strategies that effectively showcase our products and brand.
  • Conceptualize and execute photography, including product shots, in-use images, and lifestyle photography, ensuring high-quality visuals that highlight product features and evoke desired emotions.
  • Plan and execute video productions, including long-form and short-form videos, from pre-production to post-production stages, ensuring a cohesive narrative and visual storytelling.
  • Operate professional-grade cameras, lighting equipment, audio equipment, and other necessary tools to capture high-quality visuals and audio for both photography and video projects.
  • Edit and retouch photographs, ensuring color accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Edit videos, including cutting footage, adding transitions, effects, motion graphics, and sound mixing to create compelling and engaging video content.
  • Apply AI-assisted tools to streamline editing workflows, speed up production, enhance asset quality, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Works closely with the Industrial Design team to determine when visualizations or 3D renders are needed and ensuring all imagery accurately reflects real-world form, fit, and function.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in photography and videography to continuously improve the quality and impact of multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product development and design, to ensure accurate representation of products and brand messaging in visual content.
  • Manage and organize a comprehensive multimedia asset library, including metadata and tagging within Kreg’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality content within deadlines.
  • Photographs and records video of Kreg events, and other activities when needed.
  • Responsible for maintenance of studio and prep areas.
  • Supports equipment budget planning by identifying needs, recommending upgrades, and helping prioritize investments for studio and field production.
