This position will be responsible for working closely with the entire Communications staff on all pr/marketing campaigns and efforts to ensure efficient, accurate and effective communication to residents and businesses via social media and YouTube. At times, events, meetings or workshops may warrant attendance to gather photos and/or videos on weekends or in the evening and possible EOC staffing at City Center during a weather event. The candidate must have experience with social and visual media. Essential duties include: - Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (i.e. original text, photos, reels, shorts, videos, news), manage and create social media marketing campaigns in collaboration with staff, oversee social media accounts’ design, and develop relevant content topics to reach the city's residents and businesses. - Work with City staff in various departments creating effective social media posts/campaigns; collaborate with staff and create and upload videos on YouTube; Live stream meetings and special events when needed; Analyze the City’s social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses, and make frequent recommendations for improvements; and set key performance indicators for social media campaigns such as targets for certain number of shares or likes to increase exposure to residents/businesses.
