Your Mission Maintain all electrical plant and production operations to ensure continuous production with minimum down time Install additional building and production equipment Modify machine controls and operations Repair heating and air conditioning equipment Troubleshooting and repair of production machines, reading electrical and electronic schematics Isolating problems to specific components Reading PLC programs and operation manuals for equipment Programming digital AC and DC frequency drives Calibrating sensors, overload protection devices, and mechanical adjustments for electrical devices Install, repair, remove, rebuild and maintain all plant machinery, equipment and utilities Able to remove and install equipment in production areas Lay out work Make functional check of machines after repair or rebuilding to assure correct machine operation and to prove tolerances of machines Experience with CMMS systems Operation of various lifts May perform mechanical repairs as requested Manages hazardous waste satellite accumulations areas Oversee hazardous waste satellite / accumulation areas and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labeling, containment, disposal, documentation, etc Must be fluent in the use of personal computers and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in trouble shooting complex control systems and microprocessor theory, AC/DC circuits, digital controls, PLC’s, electrical and mechanical schematics and have a mechanical aptitude. Work independently in a team environment devising new methods and meeting new conditions. Perform unusual and difficult work where standard methods may not be available. Judgment to make difficult decisions on involved and complex jobs. Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment. Your Profile High school diploma or GED required Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an industrial electrician focused in the repair and trouble-shooting of manufacturing equipment or three years’ experience and two years technical training in electronics/electrical Knowledge and/or experience with computerized equipment Mechanical fundamentals Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial parts and tools Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and handling repetitive physical tasks Standing, walking, lifting, and climbing ladders are regularly required Must follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE as needed Ability to work inside and outside facility as needed Comfortable with working heights up to seventy-five (75) feet Must be able to work twelve (12) hour rotating shifts. Split shift schedule, hours are 9:30a-10:00p.
