About The Position

The Level 2 Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is a mid-level position responsible for independently performing complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, voltage levels, continuity testing, and motor control fundamentals.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, dial indicators, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and VFD interfaces.
  • Understanding of industrial pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, valves, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and schematics.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols including LOTO, arc-flash boundaries (within level of qualification), and confined space awareness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties.
  • English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4-5 years of experience in multi-craft, mechanical, or electrical maintenance roles.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Frequently lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work in tight spaces, elevated platforms, and hazardous environments.
  • Ability to operate tools requires manual precision and force.
  • Tolerance for exposure to noise, vibrations, dust, chemicals, and extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to wear advanced PPE including fall protection harnesses and arc-rated clothing (when required).

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as forklift, aerial lift, rigging, or OSHA-10 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate to advanced mechanical repairs, including alignment, bearing replacement, coupling repair, valve servicing, and pump disassembly.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance up to the limits of qualification, such as testing circuits, replacing components, running conduit, and performing basic wiring tasks.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures using multimeters, vibration tools, inspection devices, and other diagnostic instruments.
  • Perform hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs such as hose replacement, cylinder checks, and air system maintenance.
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Lead preventive maintenance activities and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring problems.
  • Mentor Level 1 technicians and support their skill development.
