Our maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, uptime, and safe operations. We are seeking a technically strong Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support our freeze drying and packaging operations. This role requires a well-rounded technician who is confident in both mechanical and electrical systems and capable of working independently in a rapidly growing production environment. You will be responsible for maintaining highly automated production systems and supporting operational reliability through structured troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. This position operates in a GMP-regulated food manufacturing facility. Conditions may include: • Temperature ranges from cold (-10°F) to warm production areas • Elevated work and confined spaces • Exposure to noise, moisture, and food allergens All team members must adhere to PPE and hygiene requirements including hair/beard nets, uniforms, and safety equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, and HMIs
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing or regulated production environments
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Lean/TPM principles
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and precision preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
  • Inspect, adjust, lubricate, and calibrate machinery to maintain optimal performance
  • Identify developing issues before they become downtime events
  • Accurately document maintenance activity and findings
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, and motor control systems
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
  • Perform structured root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
  • Respond to production issues with urgency and professionalism
  • Assist with equipment installation, modification, and upgrades
  • Support automation adjustments and calibration
  • Contribute to reliability improvements and process optimization
  • Adhere to all food safety, GMP, and OSHA requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow established safety protocols and report hazards immediately
  • Work closely with production and leadership teams
  • Communicate equipment conditions and repair plans clearly
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
