Role overview Own the programming and process optimization of Turning, Milling, and Grinding operations supporting complex medical devices. You will enhance legacy programs, standardize to best practices, and introduce new tooling and process innovations to meet production and delivery goals. You will Program CNC equipment for high-impact projects: milling, turning, grinding; multi-spindle, multi-axis, and Swiss applications across multiple locations. Analyze drawings/models to determine cut geometry, tool selection, and optimal speeds/feeds within machine and process constraints. Contribute to process development and DFM alongside internal and external partners. Correct and improve CNC code to remove errors and integrate new methods/technologies for higher efficiency and on-time delivery. Work with Quality Engineering to establish Process Control Plans, Manufacturing Inspection Plans, and define gaging/fixturing. Set up machines for first-article parts and short-run NPI; support occasional small production runs as needed. Design fixtures for post-processing steps. Comply with the TOMZ Quality Management System; perform other duties as assigned.
