About The Position

A day in this role Monday you’re on a flight to a customer plant, walking the floor by noon. You open ESPRIT CAM to refine a mill‑turn program, check clearances in simulation, and coach the setup tech through a first‑article run. Mid‑week you’re in another facility optimizing feeds, speeds, and fixturing on a Swiss lathe. By Friday, you’ve documented the final program package and trained the local team so they can run confidently after you leave. What you’ll tackle Create, modify, and tune CNC programs in ESPRIT CAM for mills, lathes, mill‑turn, Swiss, and complex multi‑axis equipment. Interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and GD&T to select machining strategies, tooling, and workholding. Use ESPRIT simulation to validate toolpaths and safeguard against collisions before chips fly. Support on‑site setups, prove‑outs, and first‑article runs; troubleshoot issues in real time and implement fixes. Partner with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive process improvements and throughput. Provide on‑the‑spot coaching for machinists and programmers; transfer knowledge to local staff. Produce clear setup docs, program notes, and best practices for smooth handoff. Uphold safety, quality, and customer requirements at every location you support. What you bring Proven expertise programming with ESPRIT CAM software . Hands‑on CNC machining and setup experience. Comfort with multi‑axis equipment and common controls: Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, and more. Fluency reading complex prints and GD&T. Experience cutting diverse materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless, titanium, and specialty alloys. Strong troubleshooting instincts, clear communication, and professional customer presence. Willing and able to travel 50–90% , often with overnight stays. Bonus points History supporting multiple sites or customers. Background in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or precision machining. Experience with machine startups, relocations, or process recoveries. Exposure to additional CAD/CAM platforms. Technical degree or equivalent practical manufacturing experience. Travel rhythm This is a field‑forward role. Expect frequent trips, changing environments, and the satisfaction of solving high‑impact problems on site.
