Account Executives at Salesforce are responsible for driving new business and engaging with existing customers to sell MuleSoft. They are expected to build positive, trusted relationships with key team members and c-suite decision makers within their assigned territory, which for this role is GSA (General Services Administration). A key aspect of the role is helping customers realize value from their Salesforce investments and developing opportunities through both warm leads and whitespace prospecting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full cycle sales experience
  • Experience working in Federal Civilian
  • Experience in selling technical platforms preferred
  • Integration / API Market Awareness
  • Demonstrates success and enthusiasm in hunting for new business
  • Experience working with a large extended team
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business and engage with existing customers to sell MuleSoft
  • Build positive, trusted relationships with both key team members and c-suite decision makers within their patch
  • Help customers realize value from their Salesforce investments
  • Develop opportunities, through both warm leads and whitespace prospecting
  • Persistent focus on pipe generation strategies and execution to seed, land and expand new and existing accounts
  • Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts
  • Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to customer business objectives
  • Coordinate internal Salesforce resources to meet customer business needs
  • Perform account planning at assigned accounts, coordinating with Prime and Cloud sales resources to ensure strategic alignment
  • Share Salesforce value proposition for existing and/or new customers
  • Drive growth within an existing assigned account
