MS Math Teacher Temporary Summer Learning Program (2596)
About The Position
Teacher Temporary Summer Learning Program Professional, temporary teaching staff are needed to teach the MS Math Summer program, supporting incoming grades 6-8 classes at Rochester Community Schools. Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until the positions are filled. Teachers will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques to improve student achievement. Emphasis will be placed on higher-level thinking skills, organizational skills, integration of knowledge, connecting learning to prior knowledge, cooperative learning, and active learner participation. The actual number of positions depends on enrollment. Classrooms will be structured with a 1:12 ratio. Availability to work all the days of the program is imperative. Substitute teachers are not available during the summer program. Van Hoosen Middle School 1339 N Adams Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48306 July 20 - July 30 (M-TH) Staff Hours: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (Student hours 8:30 am - 11:30 am) Mandatory Staff Meeting: July 16 (Thursday) Interviews are scheduled for March.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Desire to work with at-risk students.
- Willingness to work with students who need to be academically challenged.
