STEM Camp Teacher Temporary Summer Learning Program (2593)
About The Position
Professional, temporary teaching staff are needed to teach the STEM camp for grades 3-5 at Rochester Community Schools. Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until the positions are filled. Teachers will be expected to implement predetermined STEM lessons for students across areas such as construction, manufacturing, and health sciences. instructional techniques that will improve student achievement. Students will rotate through 3 areas each day. Teachers will be responsible for one area and teach 3 different sections each day. Prior STEM teaching is not required. Classes will be mixed-grades with a 1:10 ratio. The actual number of positions depends on enrollment. University Hills Elementary Session: June 15 th – June 25 th (M-TH) Staff Hours: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm Student Hours: 9 am - 12 pm Mandatory Staff Meeting and room prep: June 12 th (9:00 am – 11:00 am) Cleanup: June 25 (12:30 pm - 1 pm) Interviews to be held end of March
Requirements
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Desire to work with students who need academic challenges.
- Must be available to work the entire length of the program.
