About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer (Junior - Mid Level) to support initiatives within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role will focus on the design, development, customization, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions that enhance service delivery for veterans and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a federal, mission-driven environment. You will partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions aligned with VA standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Service)
  • 5–7 years of overall IT experience
  • Proficiency in: Dynamics 365 customization and configuration C#, .NET, and JavaScript Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Experience with: Dynamics 365 APIs and integrations Microsoft Dataverse
  • Strong understanding of: SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) System testing (unit testing, UAT support)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems or programs
  • Familiarity with VA operations, policies, and service delivery models
  • Experience working in a federal or government environment
  • Experience with: Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions) Data migration and ETL processes DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for Dynamics 365
  • Microsoft certifications: Dynamics 365 Power Platform
  • Experience supporting or implementing CRM solutions in federal agencies

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Service), including: Plugins, workflows, and business process automation Custom entities, forms, views, and business rules
  • Configure and enhance Dynamics 365 modules to meet VA business and operational requirements
  • Develop and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems using: APIs and web services Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions) Power Platform tools (Power Automate)
  • Collaborate with business analysts, VA stakeholders, and technical teams to: Gather and refine requirements Translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Participate in SDLC activities, including: Development and unit testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support Deployment and release management
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Dynamics 365 applications, including: Troubleshooting system issues Performance optimization Enhancements and updates
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including: Design specifications Integration documentation Configuration and deployment guides
  • Ensure all solutions comply with: VA security standards Federal compliance requirements Microsoft best practices
