About The Position

MRI Tech Aide – Outpatient | Lansdowne, VA | Weekday Evenings Only Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia — is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Lansdowne, Virginia . In this vital support role, you’ll assist MRI Technologists with non-clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Requirements

1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office (preferred)
Ability to start IVs (highly preferred)
Medical Assistant (MA) certification or MRI Tech Aide certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at hire)
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately
Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table
Start IV access prior to procedures (when applicable)
Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process
Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders
Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate
