About The Position

Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia — is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Arlington/Ballston, Virgnia. In this vital support role, you’ll assist MRI Technologists with non-clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office (preferred)
• Ability to start IVs (highly preferred)
• Medical Assistant (MA) certification or MRI Tech Aide certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at hire)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office
• Ability to start IVs

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately
• Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table
• Start IV access prior to procedures (when applicable)
• Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process
• Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders
• Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate
