About The Position
We are a locally owned community bank seeking an experienced Loan Processor with 3+ years in mortgage processing, including secondary market delivery. This role manages loan files from application through closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to investors.
Requirements
- 3+ years mortgage loan processing experience (required)
- Secondary market / investor delivery experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of agency & investor guidelines (Fannie, Freddie, FHA/VA/USDA)
- Experience with LOS platforms (Byte, LaserPro, Encompass or similar)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files
Responsibilities
- Process and verify mortgage loan files for completeness and compliance
- Review income, assets, credit, title, and insurance documentation
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, closers, and investors
- Prepare files for secondary market purchase and resolve investor conditions
- Maintain pipeline and meet processing and closing timelines
- Ensure adherence to TRID, ECOA, HMDA, and internal policies
