About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Processing Closing Specialist plays a key role in supporting mortgage loan closings from approval through post-funding. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of final disclosures, closing documentation, funding, and delivery processes. It’s a vital function that helps ensure UKFCU’s compliance with lending regulations and investor requirements while creating a seamless experience for members completing the home financing journey.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
3-5 years of experience in mortgage processing or closing required
Knowledge of TRID and secondary market practices strongly preferred
Thorough knowledge of loan documentation and closing practices
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in mortgage origination software and Microsoft Office Suite
Dependable and deadline-driven
Strong communicator and collaborator
Solutions-oriented and responsive to changing priorities

Responsibilities

Review approved mortgage files for completeness and closing readiness
Coordinate with closing attorneys to schedule and prepare for loan closings
Generate accurate closing disclosures (CDs) and ensure member receipt in required timeframes
Confirm final figures including taxes, insurance, and fees prior to funding
Ensure documents are executed, notarized, and delivered accurately and timely
Track receipt of signed closing packages and review for errors or omissions
Disburse loan funds and verify wire transfers are complete
Accurately input final closing data into the loan origination system
Verify compliance with TRID, HMDA, and secondary market delivery standards
Resolve any document or data exceptions prior to sale or booking
Submit final documents including title policies and recorded mortgages
Assist with quality assurance tasks and file delivery to investors or servicing
