Montessori Lead Teacher
About The Position
Leading a classroom takes a special kind of skill. As a Lead Teacher, you are expected to be caring, engaging, learning, and inspiring. This role involves ensuring the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines, school, and company standards. You will develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families. Ongoing professional development on Montessori pedagogy and early childhood development topics is required. The position also involves implementing the Montessori curriculum and facilitating engaging interactive learning experiences, with assistance from a Director, a School Education Manager, Team Lead, or faculty mentor.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field
- Completed a high school diploma or equivalent
- Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply
Nice To Haves
- Previous lead teacher experience
- Bachelor’s degree and coursework in early childhood education
