The Mapleton Foundry is looking to hire experienced Molding Specialist!
Requirements
- One-year prior foundry experience
- Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment
Nice To Haves
- Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience
- Experience operating furnaces and other foundry related equipment
- Knowledge of mold preparation and pouring techniques
- Math skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and decision-making
Responsibilities
- Applying safe working methods
- Sets up, operates and adjusts or monitors molding machines to produce molds.
- Sets a variety of cores in molds.
- Investigates causes of rejected castings
- Reviews Foundry methods: isolates problems and makes recommendations to eliminate defects
