The Mold Setter is responsible for the installation, removal, and upkeep of the molds and mold components used in the manufacturing process of plastic parts.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Basic understanding of hydraulics and limit switches
Experience using basic hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day

Nice To Haves

Injection molding experience a plus
Mold setting experience a plus

Responsibilities

Inspect molds and components for damage
Report damage to the Production Manager; repair minor damage and replace parts, as needed
Use overhead crane, tow motor, and various power tools to remove molds and components from machine
Clean molds and components and transport them to and from mold storage area
Install and replace hydraulic and water lines of each press as needed
Follow all safety rules
Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Installation of any ancillary equipment related to mold set
