About The Position

As an integral part of the patient care team, the Mobility Technician performs direct and indirect patient care functions under the direction of licensed personnel. The Mobility Technician is responsible for assisting patients with safe mobility as part of their established plan of care. The Mobility Technician regularly communicates with the bedside clinical team and documents patient mobility within the medical record. The Mobility Technician assists customers in a friendly, prompt and caring manner. They always maintain the highest level of confidentiality and respect. This position works as part of the care team to meet the needs of the customer and to support organizational outcomes through teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required within 30 days at time of hire or transfer.
  • Ability to speak and write English Language required.
  • Interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with patients/customers and other team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, set priorities, solve problems and use good judgment in difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire (incumbents will be trained appropriately).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire.
