About The Position

The Mobility Manager will work to coordinate mobility needs in Ross County through partnerships with other agencies and organizations and transit providers. The position will be a part of short- and long-range planning, coordination, and support of transportation options in the county for medical, educational, employment, and leisure needs. This includes managing activities and projects for improving coordination among public transportation and human services transportation providers, targeting seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income populations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of community resources and experience with community partners.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop, organize, motivate, and coordinate groups.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and organize data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff members, public officials, representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences (both in writing and verbally).
  • Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports on program progress.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with social service agencies, grant management, grant writing, transit systems, accessible services, medical transportation coordination, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote partnerships with local agencies, employers, and transit service providers to coordinate, enhance, and expand travel options.
  • Advocate for Ross County transit options for residents.
  • Participate in the implementation of local and regional transportation plans.
  • Pursue and develop strategies for seeking additional funding opportunities and to leverage existing funding with non-FTA programs.
  • Provides transit related information and technical assistance to residents, transit service providers, and service agencies.
  • Develop and promote distribution of consistent information and resources to residents, consumers, and transportation service agencies.
  • Track and research into the transportation needs of Ross County residents, organizations, and businesses.
  • Provide customized public transportation travel training to groups or organizations, targeting seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income populations in Ross County.
  • Responsible to monitor project performance, compile, and submit required reports to supervisor, stakeholders, and funding sources.
  • Responsible for communication with funding sources, community groups, clients, contractors, design professionals, government, and elected officials, etc.
  • Responsible for assisting with preparation of funding applications and proposals as directed by supervisor.
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Develop and update content for a transportation page with updated transportation resources on agency’s website.
