We are seeking a full-time Mobile Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to join our Adult Behavioral Health program in Philadelphia, PA. Merakey is launching a pioneering Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in the Kensington area of Philadelphia -one of the city’s most impacted neighborhoods by addiction and homelessness. This initiative embeds urgent, compassionate care directly into the community, offering services like substance use treatment (including Methadone), primary care, crisis response, and court support.  Join a mission-driven team working to connect individuals to recovery and stability through evidence-based care and street-level engagement. Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm Earn $23.76/hour Position Details The Mobile Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) provides community-based recovery support for individuals receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT), and non-MAT services. This role serves as an advocate and motivator, engaging clients within the Kensington, Philadelphia community and supporting transportation to treatment services, including Parkside programs. As a core member of a collaborative care team, the CRS delivers patient-centered recovery support to promote engagement, wellness, and sustained recovery. The position is grant funded for at least 1 year with extensions possible.

Requirements

  • An active and valid PA Driver’s license is required.
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) is required. If the candidate does not have a CRS, the CRS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • A flexible schedule is required to provide coverage as needed on weekends.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with people in recovery (PIR) preferred.
  • Strong commitment to providing peer support, advocacy, and empowerment to individuals seeking drug and alcohol services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and colleagues.
  • Empathy, compassion, and nonjudgmental attitude in supporting the assessment and treatment of individuals seeking Mobile Methadone services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Mobile experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Philadelphia Homeless system and resources preferred.
  • Comfortable with entering data/information into spreadsheets and iPads.
  • Bilingual is a plus!
