About The Position

Incarnate Word High School, an all-girls Catholic high school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, is seeking a full-time Mission & Ministry Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The school's objective is to maintain a fully and authentically Catholic environment.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to resolve conflict and humbly contribute to a team.
  • Articulating Catholic theological perspectives with breadth and depth and bringing them to life among high school students.
  • Pastoral care and crisis response, including bereavement.
  • Demonstrated initiative to organize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the community.
  • Organized, extremely detail-focused, and driven to meet project deadlines consistently.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand resource limitations and can communicate challenges.
  • Able to work some evenings and travel.
  • Direct high school experience with an all-female school.
  • Understand the Mission of Incarnate Word High School.
  • Successful completion of VIRTUS and background check.
  • Practicing Catholic with a degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, or Religious Studies.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience in Campus Ministry/youth/young adult ministry preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
  • Supports the school's philosophy, policies, goals, and the decisions made by the president and principal.
  • Ensures the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
  • Holds in strict confidence all matters of the school.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook and Employee Handbook.
  • Attends all faculty and administrative meetings.
  • Facilitates an atmosphere of Christian hospitality where all feel welcome, based on Catholic faith traditions and rituals.
  • Acknowledges and celebrates diversity with the school community.
  • Communicates regularly with the president, principal, faculty, staff, students, and parents regarding campus ministry activities, programs, and projects.
  • Works collaboratively with the administration in the development of faith-centered programs.
  • Offers a variety of prayer experiences, both personal, communal, and seasonal.
  • Provides opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to celebrate the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and Reconciliation, including penance services during Advent and Lent.
  • Plans and administers finances in adherence to the budget.
  • Willingness to assume other extracurricular duties as needed, assigned by the President.
