We are looking for a Mission Critical Commissioning Specialist to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Director, Product Support and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. The Mission Critical Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for providing professional, commissioning engineering services to Bloom Energy toward the implementation of complex or critical application projects. This individual will be a member of the Product Support team and work alongside a cross functional team comprising applications engineers, project managers, product development engineers and site supervisors. Prerequisites for this role include an understanding of critical facilities infrastructure, relevant codes & standards and Building Management System protocols. The role requires traveling 30% of the time on assignment for significant stretches.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience commissioning low voltage and medium voltage critical power equipment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for testing and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure
  • Ensure installation complies with Bloom Energy standards and customer expectations
  • Interface with design engineering (internal and external) to confirm specifications will satisfy contractual commitments
  • Responsible for developing and executing commissioning scripts and Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
  • Manage on site activities including coordination with Bloom personnel, customer representatives, sub-contractors, vendors
  • Work with customers when issues arise to ensure customer requirements are understood; ensure Bloom Energy hardware function is explained
  • Develop MOPs for maintenance tasks after project sites are handed over on an ongoing basis
  • Handle escalations for completed projects
