The Drexel Way: We don’t just sell lumber; we Supply. Happiness. Drexel is Team Member-owned and community-driven. With six retail hubs and three manufacturing plants across Wisconsin, we’ve been a Top Workplace every year since 2011. Why? Because we hire for heart and train for skill. When you join Team Blue, you aren't just a team member—you’re an owner. The Mission: This is an exciting, highly visible role focused on serving our valued builders and homeowners. Your success directly supports critical client relationships by ensuring every millwork repair, door adjustment, and warranty service element is completed to the highest standard of architectural quality and customer experience. Defining the Role: Elite Attention to Detail: Flawlessly execute fine-finish repairs and millwork touch-ups to meet the specific standards of our top-tier builder clients. The "Diagnostic" Mindset: Evaluate job site issues - such as warped doors, failing hardware, or settling trim - to determine the most effective, long-term repair solution. On-Site Execution: Work efficiently in both active residential construction sites and completed, occupied homes (indoors and outdoors, various conditions). Precision Craftsmanship: Perform skilled repairs on custom doors and interior trim, ensuring all work blends seamlessly with the existing millwork. Expert Knowledge: Master and apply vendor-specific product warranties and service policies for high-end millwork and door brands. Quality Assurance: Identify and report recurring product defects or installation errors to the production team to prevent future warranty claims. Job Site Preparedness: Manage a mobile service kit, ensuring you have the specific fasteners, wood fillers, and specialty tools required for high-end finish work. Proactive Resolution: Ensure all service-related issues for this account are acknowledged and on a path to resolution within a strict 48-hour service window. Team Growth: As a technical expert, you will eventually mentor field crews on installation best practices to reduce future warranty needs. Punctuality: Showing up to the jobsite on time and ready to go. You are Drexel’s last line to the customer. What Success Looks Like: Customer-First History: You have experience working inside a customer’s home and understand the importance of cleanliness, professionalism, and clear communication. Finish Carpentry Background: You have a significant track record in finish carpentry or millwork installation. The "Fixer": You are known as the go-to person for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues with millwork. Adaptable Problem Solver: You can think on your feet when a standard fix won’t work, finding creative ways to restore millwork to "like-new" condition. Technical Proficiency: You have a deep understanding of wood behavior (expansion/contraction) and demonstrate mastery of fine-point hand tools and power tools. The Essentials: Physical Ability: Requires ordinary ambulatory skills: ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and safely manipulate weights of 5 to 100 lbs with assistance when necessary. Manual Dexterity: Requires excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity for intricate trim work and hardware adjustments. Clean Record: A valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory. Travel: Daily travel around different areas in Wisconsin, often visiting multiple job sites or residential homes in the same vicinity. The Drexel Advantage: The Wealth-Builder (Ownership) ESOP Shares: We don’t just work here; we own the place. You’ll earn a real stake in the company’s success. Profit Sharing: When Drexel wins, our team wins. 401k: A solid foundation for your long-term retirement goals. Health & Well-Being Comprehensive Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family "weather-proof." Fitness Reimbursements: Annual funds dedicated to your physical health and family activities. Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support when life gets complex. Life & Legacy Immediate Paid Time Off: Start with Holiday and Vacation pay from day one. Scholarship Program: We’re invested in the next generation—educational support for the children of our team members. Annual Charity Match: We’ll double your impact on the causes you care about most. The "Drexel" Lifestyle Birthday PTO: A paid day off to celebrate you. Product Discounts: Special pricing on the high-quality materials we sell. Plus More: A constant stream of "fun little perks" that make the yard a great place to be. PM85
