About The Position

We are seeking a Millwork Engineering Outsource Coordinator to join our team and take ownership of coordinating drafting resources, ensuring quality standards, and supporting project delivery. This role goes beyond technical drafting—it combines engineering expertise with leadership in managing contract and onsite drafters to keep projects on schedule and within scope. The Millwork Engineering Outsource Coordinator will also assist with millwork engineering tasks when available.

Requirements

  • Create and modify technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
  • Ensure project drafting schedules and contractor assignments are on track with due dates.
  • Conduct quality checks and revisions on CAD models and documents.
  • Develop and maintain drafting packets for external contractors.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CAD software.
  • Automate and improve group processes to reduce overtime and increase efficiency.
  • Use self-discipline and motivation to set and accomplish both individual and team goals.
  • 1 year experience in Millwork Solutions Department
  • Associate degree or higher in engineering, drafting, or related field.
  • Experience creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings, models, and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
  • Experience creating and modifying 2D and 3D drawings, models, and assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and contractors.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive drafting packets for contractors, including architectural drawings, phasing details, millwork quotes, and construction summaries—while ensuring confidential information is omitted.
  • Perform quality control reviews on all drawings and documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Train and mentor drafting contractors on company standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with millwork engineering tasks and day-to-day CAD work when capacity allows.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline outsource workflows and enhance performance.
  • Coordinate process improvements with Supervisor and Team Lead to ensure the effectiveness of the change.
