About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mill Test Report (MTR) Specialist to join our Houston-based team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel industry and a strong understanding of MTRs, quality documentation, and ERP systems. This role ensures accurate documentation for customer orders, adherence to industry standards, and coordination with suppliers and internal departments.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot independently.
Experience with MTRs, ERP systems, and the steel industry is required.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Flexible with work hours and scheduling as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of basic math and chemistry is preferred.
Prior experience handling mill test certificates and working in a quality documentation role is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Review supplier MTRs for compliance before entering into the MTR system; communicate with vendors on discrepancies.
Accurately enter MTRs into software and scan/save supporting test reports.
Generate MTRs for customer orders in line with specific requirements and industry standards.
Create coating certificates for fastener and industrial coating orders.
Upload documentation to customer portals and respond to customer feedback as needed.
Collaborate with internal departments on documentation issues.
Ensure timely delivery of required documentation.
Participate in SIGMA procedure training and adhere to SIGMA Quality Management and Safety policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Generate non-conformance reports and assist in creating Corrective and Preventive Action Reports.
Support additional projects as assigned.
