About The Position

Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our four outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active-duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression. Builds relationships with referral sources and providers. Works with Business Development on maintaining positive relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • One (1) year military service experience required. Behavioral healthcare experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and service excellence skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task and change directions quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in person, over the phone and in front of audiences.
  • Presents oneself in a positive and professional manner through appearance and conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to apply technical and computer/software skills.
  • Able to adjust personal schedule to accommodate the needs of the facility.
  • Ability to travel regionally to referral sources as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as point of contact for referring Providers
  • Available to accept referrals outside of traditional workday, as needed.
  • Coordinates referrals with A&R and Clinicians to provide timely feedback to referral sources and schedule admissions.
  • Coordinates and schedules transportation for patients.
  • Acts as point of contact for military command personnel for any matter concerning patient needs while hospitalized and provides command personnel with general information regarding patient’s stay in facility.
  • Assures that all reports on Active-Duty admissions from the time of admission to the time of discharge are sent to Active-Duty providers in a timely manner by secure fax or email.
  • Communicates medical updates to appropriate parties, as needed.
  • Assists to coordinate discharge planning with Active-Duty Providers and Commands.
  • Serves as a liaison between Active-Duty Providers and the ECBH MRU treatment team and keeps Director up-to-date with all point of contact information, phone numbers, and email addresses.
  • Works with MRU treatment team to increase patient satisfaction by participating in treatment teams, meeting with patients to address unique needs and improve the treatment experience.
  • Works with referrals from the Reserves and National Guard to facilitate activation of benefits, clarification of treatment needs, and admission and discharge coordination of care.
  • Attends marketing events on military installations to build relationships with providers and case managers.
  • Assists in the development of marketing collateral and other educational materials.
