About The Position

Military Aviation Advisor, Senior Key Role: Promote the Marine Corps client’s vision and mission by providing insight and advice concerning strategic direction and application of up-to-date standard practices to achieve forces ready to deploy. Act as a senior advisor to the government and provide support to the customer on program or project status and operations. Assess the adequacy and acceptability of evolving program or project plans, change management strategies, and mold processes and operations to improve customer business met hodologies. Facilitate e nga gement between aviation stakeholders to address challenges and issues for resolution. Formulate long and short-term management plans designed to achieve preferred outcomes by applying knowledge of management principles, Marine Corps organizational structures, and data and information management techniques. Analyze in-place business, operational, and finan cia l processes and management relationships to identify and recommend programmatic modifications and process improvements. Design program or project plans, guidelines, and controls, and lead and perform tasks that require both practical experience and theoretical, state-of-the-art, and technical Marine Corps knowledge and expertise.

Requirements

  • Experience as a commissioned Marine Corps or Navy officer
  • Experience with Naval Aviation maintenance and supply chain management
  • Experience with the government funding process
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience with Naval Aviation in complex and technically demanding projects or task environments, or 21+ years of experience with Naval Aviation in complex and technically demanding projects or task environments in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as operational command of an aviation squadron
  • Experience with the Marine Corps Aviation Major Command
  • Master's degree
