About The Position

ECS is seeking a Military Analyst to work in our Ft. Bragg, NC office.   ECS Federal has an immediate opening for a Military Analyst for a Department of Defense (DoD) network located in a contractor facility. The ideal candidate will provide expert technical and operational analysis of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) threats and the effectiveness of counter-measure technologies.  This role involves evaluating emerging drone threats, assessing defensive system performance, and developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to protect personnel and critical infrastructure.  Candidates must be able to take ownership of tasks and deadlines; work without supervision; commit to high quality results; and provide common sense technical solutions. Must have an exceptional ability to multitask and manage multiple project streams simultaneously. In addition, candidates should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and have well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.  

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and ability to receive a TS/SCI clearance
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) physics, Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), and radar theory
  • Ability to convey technical requirements to vendors and stakeholders
  • Exceptional ability to multitask and manage multiple project streams simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written skills for clear reporting
  • Proficient in analytical tools

Responsibilities

  • Threat Analysis: Monitor and analyze global UAS trends, loitering munitions and swarm technology.
  • System Evaluation:  Assess C-UAS ‘kill chain’ components, including detection (Radar, RF, EO/IR), tracking, identification, and mitigation (electronic jamming, kinetic interception, directed energy).
  • Operational Integration: Develop and refine TTPs for integrating C-UAS capabilities into existing multi-domain command and control (C2) structures.
  • Reporting & Briefing: Prepare high-level intelligence reports and technical briefings for senior military leadership and stakeholders regarding C-UAS capability gaps.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Support field testing of new C-UAS hardware and software, providing analytical feedback on system accuracy and reliability in various environments.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside engineers, intelligence agencies, and industry partners to drive requirements for future C-UAS procurement.
  • Participate in technical incident response and security assessment activities.
  • Support and provide knowledge transfer to team members and clients.
  • Conduct other duties as needed.
