About The Position

This professional manages the Milford Visitors Center, overseeing staff and operations, and serves as the Chamber Liaison for the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. Their core focus is driving regional tourism by promoting Pocono Mountains activities and amenities while providing direct administrative and event support to both the Chamber and local visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Ability to write, read, and understand instructions
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Good computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the Pocono Mountains region
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Supervise PMVB Milford Center staff
  • Do scheduling for the Milford Center Information Specialist staff
  • Supervise PCCC Part-Time Events Coordinator
  • Payroll PCCC Part-Time Events Coordinator
  • Work Closely with EDA Grants and Finance Manager for all Community House related issues
  • Assist with the development of prospective members by various means, including responding to assigned inquiries, development of leads, acquiring information pertaining to new businesses and determining prospective member needs.
  • Develops, maintains and nurtures relationships with the Chamber members.
  • Assists with identification, pursuit and management of revenue generating, and membership serving affinity program opportunities.
  • Identifies and pursues new revenue opportunities for advertising, marketing and sponsorship.
  • Collects membership dues and other payments from members.
  • Produce monthly tracking reports pertaining to membership and retention
  • Maintain active member database, send invoices and renewal notices, follow up on past due accounts.
  • Maintain and improve membership promotional materials.
  • Assist with new member orientations, monthly networking events and programs
  • Provide staff support for volunteer committees.
  • Assist with the Chamber database optimization initiatives.
  • Assist in general office activities including answering telephones, greeting visitors, researching and disseminating information to callers and visitors.
  • Provides callers with information on availability, reservations and other tourism related requests.
  • Registers participants for Chamber events and completes financial input in the database.
  • Maintains the conference room, offices, order supplies.
  • Supervises maintenance of office equipment (copiers/fax/postage machines/etc.)
  • Assist with marketing: creation of fliers, e-mail blasts, television and radio appearances.
  • Assist will Chamber functions, events and committee meetings.
  • Assist with Chamber social media initiatives and website maintenance.
  • Assists walk-in visitors with tourist related information
  • Maintains/upkeeps brochures and clean, tidy, and organized center
  • Assists the public in emergency situations
  • Maintains accurate statistics and reference material
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the Kiosks and bathrooms
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned
