MIG Welder
About The Position
The MIG Welder position involves welding manufactured parts into sub-assembled fixtures. Key tasks include locating and spot welding parts, adjusting heat, weld times, and tips for proper welding. The role requires manufacturing sub-assemblies of varying sizes, grades of steel, and complexity based on detailed drawings. Candidates must be able to read orders, understand part requirements, follow direct instructions, read welding blueprints, build stations correctly with attention to detail, and read and follow basic Bill of Materials. A thorough knowledge of assembly is essential, along with the ability to work with hand/power tools and various measuring instruments like voltmeters, calipers, and spot guns. Good paperwork and counting skills are also required, as is the ability to work and interact effectively in a team-oriented department. This is a full-time, 1st shift position with compensation ranging from $22.50-$29.00 DOE.
Requirements
- Must be able to read orders and understand which parts are required to weld
- Able to follow direct instructions
- Able to read welding blueprints
- Build stations correctly, detail oriented
- Read and follow basic Bill of Materials
- Has thorough knowledge of assembly
- Able to work with hand/power tools and read various measuring instruments including voltmeters, calipers, and spot gun
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Good paperwork and counting skills.
- Able to work and interact in a “Team” oriented department
Responsibilities
