About The Position

This is a Direct Hire MIG Welder position. MIG welders are responsible for operating MIG welding machines to join metal components, ensuring strong and durable bonds. They must interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project configurations and specifications. Duties include setting up and calibrating welding equipment, adjusting gas flow, voltage, and wire feed speed for different materials and thicknesses. Welders also prepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, and cleaning to ensure secure and clean bonds before welding. Post-welding, they inspect finished welds for quality and adherence to specifications, ensuring they are defect-free. Regular cleaning and maintenance of welding equipment are also part of their responsibilities to ensure optimal operation and safety.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and familiarity with various metals and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in welding and adherence to specifications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as required in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of protective gear.
