About The Position

Indian Creek School is an independent, co-ed day school in which 600 students aged 3 to Grade 12 partner with innovative teachers in an outstanding educational program. This is a full-time (40 hours), 10-month position with occasional summer responsibilities, reporting to the Middle School Principal.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Master’s preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach four sections of Middle School instruction focused on project-based learning.
• Implement the Middle School History and Science curriculum in alignment with the ICS Mission, Vision, and Statement of Diversity.
• Work with the Middle School principal and the Middle School team to ensure a positive and engaging Middle School experience for students
• Collaborate with the Science and History department regularly to enhance curriculum and the student experience.
• Develop and deliver project-based learning experiences each quarter.
• Use a variety of assessments to measure student understanding and drive instruction. Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments.
• Serve as an academic advisor to a group of students.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Attend all divisional, departmental, and school faculty meetings, including professional development days.
• Other duties such as lunch duty, carline duty, and chaperoning as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
