About The Position

Job Summary The Catholic School Teacher for 2026-2027 is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the school’s academic standards and Catholic mission. The teacher integrates faith, values, and moral development into the curriculum while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that supports the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.

Requirements

  • Maintain appropriate certification and/or catechetical credentials as required by the diocese.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, speech, and appearance.
  • Follow all school policies, diocesan policies, and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with diocesan and state standards.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values across subject areas.
  • Provide instruction that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
  • Model Catholic values and moral behavior consistent with Church teachings.
  • Lead students in prayer and participate in school liturgies and religious activities.
  • Support and uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
  • Teach Religion classes (if assigned) in accordance with diocesan guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
  • Promote respect, discipline, and Christian behavior among students.
  • Address behavioral concerns in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parish staff as appropriate.
