About The Position

Fort Worth Country Day is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered educator who loves teaching middle school students and is eager to join a vibrant community. Reporting to the Head of Middle School, this dynamic, highly qualified, and approachable teacher will serve as both a member of the English or History departments and an advisor, beginning in August 2026. Our ideal candidate builds strong relationships with students and designs engaging, collaborative lessons that invite learners to construct knowledge together. They also have classroom management skills which emphasize mutual respect and positive reinforcement. Fort Worth Country Day is a co-ed, junior kindergarten through grade 12 college-preparatory day school with approximately 1,100 students and 250 faculty and staff. Requirements

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field

Responsibilities

• Teach four classes, two English and two Geography classes
• Serve as an advisor for twelve to fourteen sixth grade students
• Clearly communicate classroom expectations and grade student work in a timely manner using growth-mindset feedback
• Develop strong partnerships with families
