We are seeking a Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations to support the management of credit insurance across commercial lending and asset finance transactions. This role sits within the Middle Office and works closely with Front Office teams, Operations, and external brokers to ensure accurate booking, payment, and monitoring of insurance on deals.

Requirements

  • +2 years of experience in commercial lending, asset finance, or loan operations within a commercial bank.
  • Hands-on experience managing insurance on lending deals is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Loan IQ is strongly preferred; knowledge of Cash Plus or FBTI is a plus.
  • Comfortable reviewing financial statements and calculating basic financial ratios.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of credit insurance on lending transactions, from pre-closing review (when applicable) through payment, booking, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Calculate insurance premiums based on credit agreements and insurance certificates and ensure timely payment to brokers.
  • Book and monitor insurance-related transactions in Loan IQ, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliation.
  • Review insurance policies and related documentation to confirm insurance requirements and correct system setup.
  • Perform pre-funding checks and validate insurance calculations prior to initial broker deposits.
  • Act as the main point of contact for insurance-related topics with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations teams, and brokers.
  • Monitor insurance covenants and reporting requirements, escalating issues or discrepancies when needed.
  • Support improvements to insurance booking, controls, and reporting processes.
