About The Position

As the Mid-West Regional Field Sales Representative, you cultivate new customer accounts and expand existing relationships. You bring innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to customers that propel their business. At Plastipak, you have infinite potential to succeed! You Will: Prospect for new sales opportunities by doing your due diligence with identifying leads, investigating, analyzing and planning to engage potential customers. Meet with the right points of contact & persevere to nurture a business relationship. Quarterback the sales cycle, collaborating with internal partners in the design & development of packaging solutions. Take the lead on contract negotiations & in securing the sale. Pick up a small book of business. Maintain partnerships with your customers, assuring Plastipak continues to bring value to their business. This includes, inventory, accruals, rebates, negotiations and amortization agreements. Establish budgets and forecast the growth potential for your territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Packaging Engineering.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing sales experience to the consumer brand industry, ideally in rigid plastics or other packaging.
  • A proven track record of achieving & exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% - 75%.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience using SAP is a plus.
