Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Space Launch System Executive Assistant (Level 3) supporting the Space Launch System (SLS) Program in New Orleans, LA. The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative, operational, and personal support to a senior executive. This is a trusted gatekeeper role that requires exceptional discretion, anticipation of needs, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities. Position Responsibilities: Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plans regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required."U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Project management skills, and ability to drive performance to plan and results
  • 1+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience with NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
