Let’s Make It Real! The Microsoft Administrator must be able to meet the key criteria below: Location: Hybrid-Remote. The role will require travel, as needed to NCUA locations located in Alexandria & Sterling, VA; Phoenix & Tempe, AZ, and Austin, TX. Minimal travel is anticipated and otherwise role is able to be performed remotely. Years’ Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in Microsoft Administration Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance issued by the National Credit Union Administration. This agency handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance. Microsoft focused certification required such as MS Certified Solutions Associate or Microsoft equivalent Position Overview As a Microsoft Administrator at IBR, you will play a key role in providing support in maintaining and managing the Microsoft-based IT infrastructure for the National Credit Union Administration program. The role will include overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. As a Microsoft Administrator you will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support various and OCIO specific projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise to ensure Microsoft technologies are effectively integrated into the agency's overall IT strategy.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Microsoft administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Will require travel, as needed to NCUA locations which may include the below for installing and maintaining physical equipment (i.g., network firewall, server, storage, uninterruptable power supplies.

  • Must have experience managing a Microsoft-based infrastructure by overseeing the deployment, migration, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange Online, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure.
  • Experience providing end user system support
  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Experience with data center and cloud-based (Azure) deployments
  • Experience with automated server builds
  • Experience managing software deployment and updates through tools like SCCM and Intune.
  • Experience monitoring Microsoft system performance and addressing issues
  • Experience performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure systems run smoothly and securely.
  • Microsoft focused certification required such as MS Certified Solutions Associate or Microsoft equivalent.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft-based infrastructure
  • Ensures the Microsoft infrastructure is secure, stable, and efficient operation of these systems by performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Managing and maintaining Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Windows 11, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure.
  • Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of existing and future migrations Microsoft technologies.
  • Performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure systems run smoothly and securely.
  • Managing user roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain a secure IT environment.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Providing technical expertise and ensuring servers, endpoints, and Microsoft services are effectively integrated into NCUA’s overall IT strategy.
  • Monitoring system performance and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Implement and manage security policies to meet NCUA baselines, executive directives, and security requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for system configurations and procedures.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing software deployment and updates through tools like SCCM and Intune.
  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems for proactive and reactive support.
  • Participating in on-call schedules and patch rotations to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Maintaining M365 Conditional Access Policies.
